  • Copyright Ownership: Upon acceptance of the manuscript, the authors agree to transfer copyright to Journal of Engineering and Artificial Intelligence unless otherwise stated. This allows the journal to publish and distribute the work in various formats while ensuring proper credit to the authors.
  • User Rights: Under an open-access model, articles may be shared and reused according to the Creative Commons Attribution License. 
  • Rights of Authors to Retain: Authors maintain the following rights:
    • Share their work privately with peers.
  • Permission Requests: Users seeking to reproduce material published in the journal must contact the publisher to obtain explicit permission.

5.2 Journal Policies

General Operational Policies:

  • Editorial Independence: The editorial team operates with complete autonomy, making publication decisions solely based on the manuscript's scientific value, originality, and alignment with the journal's focus.
  • Peer Review Process: All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure impartial evaluation.
  • Plagiarism Policy: Every manuscript will be evaluated using specialized plagiarism detection software. Submissions with a similarity index above the acceptable threshold (typically 25% plagiarism) will be rejected.
  • Ethical Standards: Authors must adhere to the ethical guidelines, including proper acknowledgment of funding sources, compliance with institutional review board approvals, and consent for studies involving human participants or animals.
  • Retractions and Corrections: Articles may be retracted or corrected if post-publication concerns regarding errors or misconduct are raised and verified.

5.3 Privacy Statement

Information Handling Practices:

  • Confidentiality: Submitted manuscripts and reviewer reports are treated as confidential and are not shared outside the editorial and review teams.
  • Data Usage: Personal data collected during the submission process will not be sold or shared with third parties.
  • Cookies and Analytics: For website users, cookies may be used to improve user experience and track anonymized data for analytical purposes.
  • Author Rights: Authors can request corrections to their personal data or ask for its deletion from the journal’s records after manuscript processing.

5.4 Article Submission Checklist

Before submitting your manuscript to Journal of Engineering and Artificial Intelligence, ensure the following:

  1. Manuscript Preparation:
    • Format the manuscript according to the journal’s author guidelines (e.g., font, margins, citation style).
    • Include all required sections: Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, References, and any supplementary materials.
  2. File Submission:
    • Prepare the manuscript file in an acceptable format (e.g., Microsoft Word or pdf).
    • Ensure all figures and tables are provided as high-quality images or embedded directly within the manuscript.
  3. Cover Letter:
    • Draft a cover letter addressing the editor, including the manuscript title, significance of the work, and any additional information (e.g., conflicts of interest).
  4. Declaration Forms:
    • Sign and upload copyright transfer or licensing agreement forms.
    • Include a statement of ethical compliance and conflict of interest disclosure.
  5. Reference Verification:
    • Cross-check all citations for accuracy and ensure compliance with the journal’s reference style.
  6. Submission Portal Access:
    • Log in to the journal’s online submission system.
    • Upload all required files, including the manuscript, cover letter, and supplementary documents.

Note: Submissions that do not meet these requirements may be returned for revision prior to review.
